Description

The FG-4801F-DC-NEBS is a high-end data centre and carrier-class next-generation firewall built for large networks that need very high port density and DC-powered, NEBS-compliant hardware. It provides 8x 400GE/200GE QSFP-DD slots, 12x 200GE/100GE/40GE QSFP56/QSFP28 slots and 12x 50GE/25GE/10GE SFP56/SFP28 slots, with NP7 and CP9 security processors handling hardware acceleration.

This DC power variant includes four DC power supplies and NEBS Level 3 compliance, making it suited to telecom, service provider and carrier-grade environments. Two 10GE RJ45 management ports and 2x 1.92TB onboard storage support administration and logging, and the platform runs FortiOS with Fortinet Security Fabric integration.

Warranty

Fortinet provides robust warranty coverage for its hardware and software products, with durations and terms based on product category:
• Hardware Warranty: All Fortinet hardware products come with a 1-year (365 days) limited warranty from the Warranty Start Date, covering material defects in workmanship when compared to the published Functional Specifications.
• Software Warranty: Fortinet software is warranted for 90 days from the Warranty Start Date. An exception is FortiToken, which carries a 1-year warranty.
• Limited Lifetime Warranty Products:
Some products are covered by extended terms:
o FortiAP and FortiSwitch (excluding FortiSwitch-5000 series) include a limited lifetime warranty valid for 5 years beyond the product’s announced end-of-life date.
o FortiSwitch-5000 series is covered under the standard 1-year hardware warranty.
