Description

The FG-3701F is a 2U FortiGate 3700F Series hyperscale next-generation firewall built for data-centre deployments that need very high port speeds. It provides 4x 400GE QSFP-DD slots, 4x ultra-low-latency SFP28 slots and 20x 50GE SFP56 slots, with 2x 10GE RJ45 management ports. Hardware acceleration comes from Fortinet SPU NP7 network processors and CP9 content processors.

This variant includes 4TB of onboard SSD storage and 2 AC power supplies, which distinguishes it from the FG-3700F. The 400GE QSFP-DD slots also support 200GE QSFP56, 100GE QSFP28 and 40GE QSFP+ optics, so the appliance can be deployed against mixed-speed core and aggregation layers. A Trusted Platform Module adds hardware-based security for the platform.
