Description

The APC AP9834 USB Wi-Fi Device is a compact wireless network adapter that adds Wi-Fi connectivity to APC Network Management Card 3 (NMC3) models AP9641 and AP9643. It plugs into the NMC3 USB port and lets you reach the card's web interface without running wired Ethernet cabling, which suits server rooms, edge sites and retrofit installations where cable runs are impractical. It supports 2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n and 5GHz 802.11a/n.

Wi-Fi is configured through the NMC web interface or command line, and the card operates on either wired or wireless networking at one time. It is intended for use with the NMC3 platform only and is not compatible with the AP9640 or the NMC2 cards (AP9630, AP9631, AP9635). It is also supported on selected APC rack PDUs and Easy UPS NMC slots.

Features

- Replaces wired network cabling, reducing hardware and clutter for more flexible deployment
- Browser-accessible management via the NMC3 web interface
- Remote reboot of equipment, saving technician dispatch
- Wi-Fi configured via the NMC web interface or CLI (requires NMC3 firmware 1.4 or higher)
- Inherits NMC3 security features including RADIUS support, multi-tier user access and strong password rules
- Flash-upgradeable firmware
