Description

The Aruba J9995A is an 8-port 1/2.5/5/10GBASE-T PoE+ Smart Rate switch module for the modular Aruba 5400R zl2 chassis. It delivers eight RJ-45 multi-gigabit ports with IEEE 802.3at PoE+ power of up to 30 W per port, making it well suited to powering Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6 access points, IP cameras and IoT devices from a single chassis slot. As a v3 zl2 module, it provides MACsec-capable hardware.

The ports auto-negotiate 100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G and 10G speeds over Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a cabling, so existing copper plant can be reused while access layer bandwidth grows. No transceivers are required, as the ports are fixed RJ-45. The module is compatible with the Aruba 5406R and 5412R zl2 chassis and supports IP SLA for Voice (UDP Jitter and UDP Jitter for VoIP), which requires v3 modules.

Features

- Smart Rate multi-gigabit bandwidth with PoE+ power for Wi-Fi 5/6 access points, cameras and IoT devices
- v3 zl2 module hardware with MACsec (IEEE 802.1AE) capability
- Supports IP SLA for Voice (UDP Jitter and UDP Jitter for VoIP), which requires v3 modules
- Auto-negotiating 100M/1G/2.5G/5G/10G ports reuse existing Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a cabling
- Hot-swappable in the 5400R zl2 chassis
- Managed via Aruba Central, AirWave or ClearPass integration
