Description

The EDS-2010-ML-2GTXSFP is an unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet industrial switch with eight 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports and two combo uplink ports that accept either 10/100/1000BaseT(X) copper or 100/1000BaseSFP fibre. It suits factory floors, control cabinets and field installations where plug-and-play connectivity and high-bandwidth uplinks are needed. This standard temperature model operates from -10 to 60°C, while the -T sibling is rated -40 to 75°C.

Built in an IP30 metal housing for DIN-rail or wall mounting, it takes redundant dual 12/24/48 VDC power inputs with overload current and reverse polarity protection. A relay output signals power failure and port break alarms, and QoS support helps prioritise critical data during heavy traffic.

Features

- Two Gigabit combo uplinks with flexible copper or SFP fibre interface for high-bandwidth aggregation
- Redundant dual 12/24/48 VDC power inputs for continuous operation
- Relay output warning for power failure and port break alarm
- QoS support to process critical data in heavy traffic
- IP30-rated metal housing for industrial environments
- Unmanaged plug-and-play operation with no configuration required
- DIN-rail and wall-mount installation options

FAQs

Q: What is the operating temperature range of the EDS-2010-ML-2GTXSFP?
A: This model operates from -10 to 60°C. The -T sibling model extends the range to -40 to 75°C for harsher environments.

Q: Can the two uplink ports be used with fibre?
A: Yes. The two combo ports each support either 10/100/1000BaseT(X) copper or 100/1000BaseSFP, so you can fit SFP modules for fibre uplinks or use RJ45 copper.

Q: Is this a managed or unmanaged switch?
A: It is an unmanaged switch, so it works plug-and-play without configuration. It still supports QoS to prioritise critical traffic.

Q: What power inputs does it accept?
A: It has redundant dual DC inputs for 12/24/48 VDC nominal supplies, with a working range of 9.6 to 60 VDC, plus overload current and reverse polarity protection.

Q: How is the switch mounted?
A: It has an IP30 metal housing and can be mounted on a DIN rail or on a wall.

Q: Can it alert me to a power or link failure?
A: Yes. A relay output provides a warning signal for power failure and port break alarms, which can be connected to external monitoring equipment.
