Description

The EDS-2005-EL-T is an unmanaged 5-port Fast Ethernet industrial switch built for plug-and-play connectivity in harsh environments. It provides five 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports with auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X, and this wide-temperature -T model is rated for operation from -40 to 75 C. The IP40-rated metal housing and compact DIN-rail form factor suit control cabinets, factory-floor cells and outdoor enclosures.

Power is supplied through a single 12/24/48 VDC input on a removable 2-contact terminal block. Quality of Service and Broadcast Storm Protection can be enabled with onboard DIP switches, so critical data is prioritised under heavy traffic without any software configuration. The switch is PROFINET Conformance Class A compliant and carries high-level EMI/EMC immunity for electrically noisy industrial sites.

Q: Is the EDS-2005-EL-T a managed switch?
A: No. It is an unmanaged plug-and-play switch. QoS and Broadcast Storm Protection are enabled with onboard DIP switches rather than through a web or CLI interface.

Q: What does the -T in the model number mean?
A: The -T model is the wide-temperature version, rated for operation from -40 to 75 C. Standard models in the series have a narrower operating range.

Q: What power supply does the EDS-2005-EL-T need?
