Description

The MGate 5118 is an industrial protocol gateway that converts SAE J1939 (CAN bus) data from engines, generators and similar equipment into Modbus RTU/ASCII/TCP, PROFINET IO device or EtherNet/IP, so PLCs and SCADA systems can monitor and control J1939 devices. This standard temperature model operates from 0 to 60°C and pairs a single isolated CAN port with an RS-232/422/485 serial port and two 10/100 Ethernet ports.

A built-in web console with a configuration wizard and J1939 command auto-detection simplifies setup, while the microSD slot supports configuration backup, duplication and event logging. The metal IP30 housing suits DIN-rail mounting in control cabinets, with 12 to 48 VDC input and IEC 62443-based security features for industrial networks.
