Description

The Moxa ioLogik R1214 is a universal RS-485 remote I/O module with 6 digital inputs and 6 Form A relay outputs, built for DIN-rail installation in standard-temperature industrial environments rated from -10 to 75°C. It communicates over dual RS-485 ports using Modbus RTU Slave, making it a straightforward way to extend I/O to PLCs, SCADA systems and data loggers across factory, utility and building automation sites.

The six digital inputs support dry contact or wet contact (NPN/PNP) wiring and can operate in DI or event counter mode at up to 2.5 kHz, while the power relays are rated for 5,000,000 operations. Serial ports are protected with 1 kV surge and 15 kV ESD protection, and the module accepts a wide 12 to 48 VDC supply. This standard-temperature model suits cabinets and control rooms, with a separate wide-temperature variant available for environments from -40 to 85°C.
