Description

The ioLogik 2512-HSPA-T is a cellular remote I/O unit from Moxa's ioLogik 2500 series, combining 8 digital inputs and 8 software-configurable DIO channels with a UMTS/HSPA (3G) cellular interface. The -T wide temperature design operates from -30 to 70°C, suiting remote pump stations, utility cabinets and unattended industrial sites where wired backhaul is not available.

Click&Go Plus front-end control logic supports up to 48 rules for local decision making, while a built-in 4-port unmanaged Ethernet switch and two RS-232/422/485 serial ports allow nearby devices to be connected through the one unit. Modbus TCP and RTU, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, a RESTful API and the MXIO library provide flexible integration with SCADA and monitoring systems, and the metal IP30 housing mounts on a DIN rail.

FAQs

Q: What cellular technology does the ioLogik 2512-HSPA-T use?
A: It uses a UMTS/HSPA (3G) interface on 800/850/900/1900/2100 MHz bands, with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE fallback on 850/900/1800/1900 MHz. It connects through one SMA female antenna connector and a full-size SIM slot.

Q: How many digital I/O channels does this model provide?
A: It provides 8 digital inputs and 8 DIO channels that are configured by software. Inputs accept dry or wet contacts and can act as event counters, and outputs are sink type rated 500 mA per channel with pulse output support.

Q: What does the -T suffix mean?
A: The -T denotes the wide temperature model, rated for operation from -30 to 70°C.

Q: Can it control local logic without a connection to a server?
A: Yes. Click&Go Plus front-end intelligence supports up to 48 control rules, so the unit can act on I/O conditions locally.

Q: Which protocols and configuration tools are supported?
A: Modbus TCP Client and Server, Modbus RTU Client, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, a RESTful API, CGI commands and the MXIO library are supported. Configuration is through a web console (HTTP/HTTPS) or the IOxpress Windows utility.

Q: What power supply does it need and how is it mounted?
A: It runs from 12 to 48 VDC via a screw-fastened Euroblock terminal. The IP30 metal housing mounts on a DIN rail, or on a wall with the optional mounting kit.
