Description

The SFP-1GE-LX is a 1G SFP transceiver for Gigabit Ethernet fibre links, built to the 1000BASE-LX standard (IEEE 802.3z). It operates at 1310 nm with an LC connector and reaches up to 10 km over single-mode fibre or 550 m over multimode fibre, making it suited to campus, building-to-building and metro access uplinks.

This extended temperature SFP module is hot-pluggable, so it can be installed or replaced in a compatible Juniper switch or router without powering down the host. Its dual fibre support lets one optic serve both single-mode and multimode cabling plants.
