Description

The QSFPP-40GBASE-SR4 is a 40 Gigabit Ethernet QSFP+ SR4 transceiver for Juniper routing, switching and security platforms. It carries 40GBASE-SR4 traffic over multimode fibre with an MPO-12 connector, reaching 100 m on OM3 and 150 m on OM4, which suits short-reach links within a data centre or between racks.

The optic complies with IEEE 802.3ba-2010 and supports Digital Optical Monitoring with full SFF-8636 support, including laser bias current, RX input power and case temperature diagnostics. As a common optic, a single SKU is used across supported Juniper platforms, including MX Series line cards such as the MPC5E-40G10G and the MX10003 JNP-MIC1 modules, plus the ACX7509 on Junos OS Evolved. It is not breakout capable.
