Description

The ORHS-800G-DR8-2-P is an 800G OSFP800 riding heat sink (ORHS) transceiver running 800GBASE-DR8-2 over single-mode fibre up to 2 km. It uses dual MPO-12/APC receptacles and is designed for cold-plate liquid-cooled hosts such as ORv3 chassis, making it suited to high-density data centre and AI cluster deployments.

The module uses PAM4 modulation across 8 x 100G electrical lanes and supports breakout to 2x400G DR4 or 8x100G DR1. It can also operate in the older 800G-DR8 mode at a reduced 500 m reach, and is compatible with Juniper PTX and QFX 800GbE-capable platforms. Standard operating temperature is 0 C to 70 C.
