Description

The EX9204-CHAS3-S is an empty 4-slot modular switch chassis with a passive midplane (Chassis 3), designed for the Juniper EX9204 core Ethernet switch. It is a 5U rack-mountable platform for campus and data centre core deployments, with hot-swappable modules and a single-tier, low-latency switch fabric architecture.

This is the chassis only. Line cards, routing engines, switch fabric modules, fan trays and power supplies are ordered separately. The passive midplane carries control and management signals over independent paths, and the platform runs Junos OS. It is compatible with the EX9200-RE2 Routing Engine, EX9200-SF3 Switch Fabric and 2,520 W AC or 4,100 W DC power supplies.
