Q: Can I use this transceiver in a 1G or 2.5G application?
A: No. This is a dedicated 10G transceiver designed for 10GBASE-BX-D operation at 10.3125 Gbps line rate. It does not support rate adaptation to 1G or 2.5G. For multi-rate BiDi links, select a transceiver explicitly rated for the required speeds, or use separate transceivers for each data rate.
