Q: Does this transceiver support 4x10G breakout mode like 40GBASE-SR4 modules?
A: No. The 40GBASE-SR-BD standard uses two wavelengths over duplex fiber, not four parallel lanes. It cannot be broken out into 4x10G links. If you need breakout functionality, use a 40GBASE-SR4 module with MPO/MTP connector and a breakout cable. This BiDi module is designed for native 40G links over existing duplex LC fiber infrastructure only.
