Description

The HPE R8M72A is a 40GBASE-LR4 QSFP+ optical transceiver for single-mode fibre links up to 10km. Operating at 1310nm with a duplex LC connector, it suits data centre interconnects, campus backbones and inter-building 40GbE uplinks where short-reach multimode optics cannot cover the distance.

This 10km LR4 module belongs to the HPE C-series family of 40GbE QSFP+ transceivers and is intended for use in QSFP+ ports on compatible HPE networking equipment. Matching optics at both ends of the link and standard single-mode fibre cabling are required for reliable operation.
