Description

The Aruba X140 40G QSFP+ LC ER4 transceiver delivers 40GBASE-ER4 connectivity over single-mode fibre for links of up to 40km. It uses a duplex LC connector and the QSFP+ form factor, making it suited to long-reach data centre interconnects, campus backbones and metro aggregation links where standard short-reach optics fall short.

This ER4 variant is designed for single-mode fibre runs and fits QSFP+ ports on compatible Aruba and HPE switches. It is the extended-reach option in the X140 40G optics range, complementing shorter-reach modules for multimode and mid-range single-mode deployments.
