The far-end device must transmit at 1490nm and receive at 1310nm (such as a GLC-BX-D). Mismatched wavelength pairs will not establish a link.

A: This transceiver requires G.652 standard single-mode fibre with a simplex LC/PC connector. The 10 km reach assumes typical fibre attenuation of 0.5 dB/km and connector insertion loss under 0.75 dB per mating. Poor fibre quality, dirty connectors, or excessive splices will reduce maximum reach.

Q: Can I monitor link health and optical power in real time?
A: Yes. This module supports DOM per SFF-8472 MSA.
