Description

The Fortinet FortiWiFi 40F (FWF-40F-N) is a desktop next-generation firewall with an integrated dual-band 802.11ac Wave 2 wireless access point, built for small offices and branch sites that need security, SD-WAN and Wi-Fi in one appliance. It provides 5 x GE RJ45 ports (4 internal, 1 WAN) and delivers 5 Gbps of IPv4 firewall throughput, 1 Gbps of IPS throughput and 800 Mbps of NGFW throughput. This -N regional wireless variant belongs to the FWF-40F family and uses the 802.11ac-W2 radio with 3x3 MU-MIMO.

The fanless desktop design runs silently in open office environments, while FortiGuard security services support IPS, application control and SSL inspection. IPsec and SSL VPN are supported, and a FortiLink port allows the unit to manage FortiSwitch devices, making it a practical branch gateway for Fortinet Security Fabric deployments.
