Description

The Fortinet FN-TRAN-SFP-1BU40 is a 1 GE SFP BiDi transceiver module for long-range single-mode fibre links up to 40km. It transmits at 1310nm and receives at 1490nm over a single LC fibre connection, which halves the number of fibre strands needed for a link compared with a standard duplex transceiver.

This module is one end of a matched BiDi pair and connects to the FN-TRAN-1BD40 at the opposite end, which is ordered separately. It suits systems with SFP slots and has an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, making it suitable for demanding installations.
