Description

The FN-CABLE-SFP+3 is a 3m 10G SFP+ passive direct attach cable (DAC) built from twinax copper with SFP+ connectors moulded on both ends. It delivers 10GBase-CR connectivity at 10 Gbps between SFP+ and SFP/SFP+ slots on Fortinet FortiGate and FortiSwitch systems, making it a simple, low-latency option for short links within a rack or between adjacent racks.

Because the transceivers are integrated into the cable ends, there is no need to buy separate optics. The passive design keeps power dissipation below 0.1 W, and the hot-pluggable connectors allow installation or replacement without powering down the connected equipment. The cable operates across a 0°C to 70°C temperature range and is RoHS compliant.

Features

- Passive twinax copper construction for low power and low latency
- Transceivers integrated on both cable ends, no separate optics required
- Hot-pluggable for installation without powering down equipment
- Suits systems with SFP+ and SFP/SFP+ slots
- RoHS compliant
