Description

The FortiMail 400F is a 1U rack-mount email security appliance built for small to midsized organisations. It delivers multi-layered protection against spam, phishing, malware, zero-day threats, impersonation and business email compromise, backed by FortiGuard Labs threat intelligence. This model provides 4x 10/100/1000 RJ45 GE ports and 2 TB of storage (2 x 1 TB), with 8 GB of memory and support for up to 70 protected email domains.

The appliance routes up to 250K messages per hour and includes data loss prevention, centralised quarantine and software RAID 0 and 1. It integrates into the Fortinet Security Fabric, with optional Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace email API integration and an optional second power supply for added resilience.

Warranty

Fortinet provides robust warranty coverage for its hardware and software products, with durations and terms based on product category:
• Hardware Warranty: All Fortinet hardware products come with a 1-year (365 days) limited warranty from the Warranty Start Date, covering material defects in workmanship when compared to the published Functional Specifications.
• Software Warranty: Fortinet software is warranted for 90 days from the Warranty Start Date. An exception is FortiToken, which carries a 1-year warranty.
• Limited Lifetime Warranty Products:
Some products are covered by extended terms:
o FortiAP and FortiSwitch (excluding FortiSwitch-5000 series) include a limited lifetime warranty valid for 5 years beyond the product’s announced end-of-life date.
o FortiSwitch-5000 series is covered under the standard 1-year hardware warranty.
