Description

The FortiAP 244K is a Wi-Fi 7 tri-band outdoor access point built for demanding campus, industrial and public venue deployments. This Oceania (EO) region SKU pairs a 5G RJ45 PoE port with a 10G SFP+ cage, uses internal antennas and ships with a PoE injector included. Four radios cover 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz alongside a dedicated scan radio, and the IP67 enclosure operates from -40 to 70 C.

With 2+2+2 spatial streams, data rates up to 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, 4.324 Gbps on 5 GHz and 5.765 Gbps on 6 GHz, plus support for up to 512 clients per radio, it handles dense outdoor environments. It is managed through FortiGate, FortiEdge cloud management or FortiSASE, with built-in wireless intrusion prevention, BLE and GNSS for locationing, and an articulating wall and pole mount. Use of the 6 GHz band is subject to regional regulatory approval.

• Hardware Warranty: All Fortinet hardware products come with a 1-year (365 days) limited warranty from the Warranty Start Date, covering material defects in workmanship when compared to the published Functional Specifications.
• Software Warranty: Fortinet software is warranted for 90 days from the Warranty Start Date. An exception is FortiToken, which carries a 1-year warranty.
• Limited Lifetime Warranty Products:
Some products are covered by extended terms:
o FortiAP and FortiSwitch (excluding FortiSwitch-5000 series) include a limited lifetime warranty valid for 5 years beyond the product’s announced end-of-life date.
o FortiSwitch-5000 series is covered under the standard 1-year hardware warranty.
