A: Yes. Each SFP+ port operates independently, so you can use 10GBASE-LR (1310nm, 10km SMF), 10GBASE-SR (850nm, multi-mode), or other 10G optics in different ports on the same FortiSwitch or FortiGate without compatibility issues. Link parameters such as wavelength and fibre type are defined per transceiver pair, not globally. Ensure the far-end transceiver matches the wavelength and fibre type for each individual link.
