Description

The Eaton Tripp Lite SMX1200XLHG is a medical-grade, line-interactive UPS designed for dependable backup power in patient-care vicinities when plugged into a hospital-grade outlet. It provides 1kVA / 750W capacity with full isolation via an integrated isolation transformer and Faraday shield, helping reduce common mode noise while maintaining surge protection in all modes.

Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) corrects brownouts and overvoltages without using battery, keeping connected equipment running through unstable mains power. A quiet alarm mode, clear front-panel status LEDs, and USB/DB9 monitoring with PowerAlert software support safe, unattended shutdown during extended outages.

Need more runtime? This model supports external battery packs for extended runtime, making it suitable for longer power interruptions where you need extra time to ride through or shut down cleanly.

Q2: What outlets does it provide?
A2: It provides 6 x IEC C13 hospital-grade outlets. All outlets provide both battery backup and surge protection.

Q3: How long will it run during a blackout?
A3: Runtime depends on load. It supports up to 27.5 minutes at half load (375W) and up to 11 minutes at full load (750W).

Q4: Can I increase runtime beyond the internal battery?
A4: Yes. It supports external battery packs for extended runtime, including BP36V15-2U (limit 1) and BP36V42-3U or BP36V27-2US (multi-pack compatible).

Q5: Does it include a power cord and how do I monitor it?
A5: A mains power cord is not supplied. The UPS uses an IEC C14 input. For monitoring and safe shutdown, it includes USB and DB9 connections plus PowerAlert software (USB and serial cables are included).
