The Arista QDD-400G-ZR2 is a 400GBASE-ZR QSFP-DD Digital Coherent Optical (DCO) transceiver engineered for high-density data centre interconnect (DCI) over duplex single-mode fibre. Supporting up to 40km unamplified and up to 120km with EDFA amplification, it uses DP-16QAM modulation with C-FEC per the OIF-400ZR MSA standard, enabling both 400GbE single-wavelength and 4x100GbE breakout modes across ITU C-Band tunable wavelengths. The integrated coherent DSP eliminates the need for external transponders, dramatically simplifying metro and campus DCI architectures.
