Description

The Arista QDD-400G-SRBD1 is a 400G QSFP-DD multimode transceiver using bidirectional (BiDi) optics over parallel MPO-12 UPC fibre. It supports 400GBASE-SR4.2 (400G-BIDI) links up to 70m over OM3 or 100m over OM4, making it well suited to short-reach leaf-spine and top-of-rack connections in data centres.

The module is software configurable for point-to-point 400GE or breakout to 4x 100GBASE-BIDI (100G-SRBD) or 4x 100GBASE-SR1.2. It is hot swappable, complies with IEEE 802.3 and the QSFP-DD MSA, and is optically interoperable with 400G-SR4.2 optics, helping simplify migration of existing multimode cabling plant to 400G.
