Description

The Arista OSFP-400G-XDR4-S is a 400G OSFP transceiver supporting 400GBASE-XDR4 (4x 100GBASE-FR) over parallel single-mode fibre at distances up to 2km. This -S variant uses SN optical connectors, making it well suited to high-density 400G-to-100G breakout cabling in data centre leaf and spine deployments.

The module operates at 1310nm and is optically interoperable with 4x 100GBASE-FR links, so a single 400G OSFP port can connect to four 100G FR interfaces. It is hot swappable, compliant with the OSFP MSA and IEEE 802.3, and gives network teams flexibility to choose media and interface type on a port-by-port basis.
