Description

The TN-4900 ETBN secure firewall router is built for rolling stock networks, combining IEC 61375 ETBN functionality with a stateful and transparent firewall. It provides 8 Fast Ethernet PoE+ ports on M12 D-coded connectors and 8 Gigabit ports on M12 X-coded connectors, of which 4 deliver PoE+ and 4 include a dual bypass relay. The total PoE power budget is 95 W, and the PCB conformal coating adds protection for demanding on-board environments.

This EN 50155 router runs from isolated 24 to 110 VDC redundant dual power inputs (16.8 to 137.5 VDC operating) and operates from -40 to 70°C in an IP40 metal housing for wall mounting. It supports routing and NAT, Turbo Ring and RSTP/STP redundancy, LLDP topology discovery, and IEC 62443-4-2:2019 certified cybersecurity features, with management via web browser, Telnet/serial console and CLI.

FAQs

Q: Which ports on this router provide PoE+?
A: The 8 Fast Ethernet M12 D-coded ports and 4 of the Gigabit M12 X-coded ports support PoE+, up to 12 PoE ports sharing a total 95 W power budget.

Q: What is the bypass relay used for?
A: Four Gigabit M12 X-coded ports include a dual bypass relay, which helps keep the network path available through the router.

Q: What power inputs does it accept?
A: It has redundant dual isolated inputs for 24/36/48/72/96/110 VDC, with an operating range of 16.8 to 137.5 VDC, via an M12 K-coded connector.

Q: Does it include a firewall?
A: Yes. This F model provides stateful inspection and transparent (bridge) firewall functions alongside routing and NAT.

Q: Is it suitable for railway rolling stock?
A: Yes. It complies with EN 50155 and IEC 61375-2-3 / 61375-2-5 ETBN requirements, and the PCB conformal coating adds environmental protection.

Q: What operating temperature range does it support?
