Description

The Moxa EDR-G9004-VPN-2MGTXSFP-CT is an EDR-G9004 series industrial secure router that combines firewall, NAT and IPsec VPN in a single DIN-rail unit. It provides four Gigabit ports, with 2 copper RJ45 ports featuring Gen3 LAN Bypass and 2 copper/SFP combo ports, and supports up to 250 concurrent IPsec VPN tunnels. This CT variant adds conformal coating, operates from -10 to 60 C and accepts 12/24/48 VDC redundant dual power inputs.

Deep Packet Inspection covers industrial protocols including Modbus TCP/UDP, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850 MMS, EtherNet/IP and OPC UA, while an optional licensed IPS adds threat protection. The metal IP40 housing, reverse polarity protection and dual WAN redundancy suit substations, factory automation and other critical industrial networks. It runs MX-ROS with web and CLI management and can be managed centrally with MXsecurity software.

Q: What does the CT suffix mean on this router?
A: CT denotes conformal coating on the circuit board, which helps protect the unit in harsher environments. This model operates from -10 to 60 C.

Q: Are SFP modules included?
A: No. The two combo ports accept 1000/2500BaseSFP modules, which are sold separately. The ports can also be used as 10/100/1000BaseT(X) copper.

Q: What power supply does it require?
A: It accepts 12/24/48 VDC on redundant dual inputs, with an operating range of 9.6 to 60 VDC, via a removable terminal block. Reverse polarity protection is supported.

Q: How many VPN tunnels does it support?
