Description

The Fortinet FN-TRAN-GC is a 1GE SFP RJ45 copper transceiver module (1000Base-T) with a 100 m range, designed for Fortinet systems with SFP and SFP/SFP+ slots. It lets you connect standard Cat5e or better twisted-pair cabling to an SFP port, making it a practical choice for adding copper gigabit links to FortiGate and FortiSwitch deployments.

With an industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, this module suits harsher installations as well as standard racks and cabinets. It is a hot-pluggable module that gives network teams flexibility to mix copper and fibre connectivity on the same platform. When used with FortiSwitch, the 'set speed 1000auto' command is required.

• Hardware Warranty: All Fortinet hardware products come with a 1-year (365 days) limited warranty from the Warranty Start Date, covering material defects in workmanship when compared to the published Functional Specifications.
• Software Warranty: Fortinet software is warranted for 90 days from the Warranty Start Date. An exception is FortiToken, which carries a 1-year warranty.
• Limited Lifetime Warranty Products:
Some products are covered by extended terms:
o FortiAP and FortiSwitch (excluding FortiSwitch-5000 series) include a limited lifetime warranty valid for 5 years beyond the product’s announced end-of-life date.
o FortiSwitch-5000 series is covered under the standard 1-year hardware warranty.
