Description

The Aruba CX 6000 is a compact, fanless Layer 2 managed switch built for branch offices, midsize businesses, and quiet, space-constrained environments. This 8-port Non-PoE variant delivers 8 x 10/100/1000BASE-T access ports and 2 x 1GbE SFP uplinks, running the modern AOS-CX operating system with Zero Touch Provisioning, REST APIs, and full management via Aruba Central — all with no licensing fees required.

Designed for energy-efficient, silent operation at just 13.8W, the CX 6000 supports enterprise-grade features including ACLs, QoS, MSTP, LACP, and static routing in a rack- or wall-mountable form factor. Compatible with Aruba Central cloud and on-premises management, it integrates seamlessly into the broader Aruba networking ecosystem.

FAQs

Q: Does this switch support PoE?
A: No. The S4R22A is the Non-PoE variant of the Aruba CX 6000 family. It does not supply power over Ethernet. If you require PoE, consider the PoE+ variants in the CX 6000 series.

Q: What operating system does the Aruba CX 6000 run?
A: The CX 6000 runs AOS-CX, Aruba's modern, cloud-native, database-driven operating system. It supports REST APIs, Zero Touch Provisioning, and centralised management via Aruba Networking Central.

Q: Is a software licence required to use this switch?
A: No. The Aruba CX 6000 includes its full feature set in embedded switch software with no additional licensing or subscription fees required.

Q: Can this switch be managed via the cloud?
A: Yes. The CX 6000 supports management through HPE Aruba Networking Central (cloud and on-premises), as well as via Web GUI, CLI, and the Switch Multi-Edit Software tool.

Q: Is this switch suitable for a quiet office or classroom environment?
A: Yes. The fanless design means the switch operates in complete silence, making it ideal for open-plan offices, classrooms, retail environments, and any deployment where fan noise is undesirable.
