Description

The AP-585EX is a Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) dual-radio 4x4 hazardous-location outdoor access point from the Aruba 580EX Series, built for industrial sites, oil rigs and other environments where standard wireless gear cannot be deployed. This Rest of World (RW) unified model uses internal omni-directional antennas and delivers a peak aggregate data rate of 2.97 Gbps across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. It is sealed to IP66 and certified for Class 1 Div 2, ATEX Zone 2 and IECEx, with an operating range of -40 to 65 C.

Connectivity includes two RJ-45 Ethernet ports (1G/5G), one SFP+ port and a USB-C console interface. It can be powered by 802.3bt Class 6 PoE or by AC (110-240 V), with no add-on AC adapter needed. Built-in Bluetooth 5.0 and 802.15.4/Zigbee support Industrial IoT use cases, and the unit is managed on-premises, via cloud or as a service with Aruba OS 8, Instant OS 8 or Aruba OS 10.
