Description

The X142 40G QSFP+ MPO eSR4 transceiver delivers 40GBASE-eSR4 connectivity over multimode fibre, with an extended reach of up to 300 m on OM3 and 400 m on OM4 at 850 nm. It uses a 12-fibre MPO connector and suits campus aggregation and data centre links on compatible HPE and Aruba switches.

Compared with a standard SR4 optic, the eSR4 design provides additional distance on the same 50/125 µm multimode cabling. The hot-swappable QSFP+ module supports Digital Optical Monitoring for link diagnostics, and it connects using female MPO connectors.
