Description

The Arista DCS-7170-32CD-F is a programmable 32-port 100GbE QSFP switch from the Arista 7170 Series, built for data centre leaf and spine deployments that need high-density 100G connectivity in a 1RU fixed-configuration chassis. It delivers up to 6.4 Tbps of system throughput, wire-speed L2 and L3 forwarding and latency from 800ns, with 2 x SFP+ ports for 1/10GbE connectivity. This variant ships with front-to-rear airflow and dual AC power supplies.

Every QSFP port supports 40GbE and 100GbE, with breakout to 50GbE, 25GbE and 10GbE interfaces for flexible server and uplink designs. The switch runs Arista EOS, with an x86 CPU subsystem that supports Touch Provisioning, VMTracer and native Linux-based tools, and it uses a dynamically allocated shared packet buffer that can be tuned through PFC, ECN and QoS.
