Description

The APC Back-UPS CS BK500EI is a 500VA/300W standby tower UPS for 230V supplies, providing battery backup and surge protection for computers, routers and small office network equipment. It offers four IEC C13 outlets, USB and RS-232 serial communications, and a user-replaceable sealed lead-acid battery in a compact tower form factor.

Three outlets are battery backed and one is surge only, with data line protection on an RJ-45 port for phone, modem or DSL connections. Automatic voltage regulation helps stabilise fluctuating input voltage, while PowerChute Personal Edition software and the USB/serial connection allow a safe, orderly system shutdown during extended outages. The replacement battery cartridge is the RBC2.
