Description

The UniFi Enterprise 8 PoE is an 8-port Layer 3 managed switch with 2.5 GbE PoE/PoE+ ports, a 120W PoE budget and two 10G SFP+ uplinks. It suits Wi-Fi 6 access point deployments in small to mid-sized sites, where multi-gigabit copper ports and high-speed fibre or DAC uplinks keep traffic moving at 40 Gbps non-blocking throughput.

Inter-VLAN and static routing, DHCP relay and a full set of Layer 2 controls such as LACP, 802.1X, storm control and DHCP snooping make it a capable access or aggregation switch. A 1.3 inch colour touchscreen allows on-device management, and the internal universal power supply and desktop-mountable polycarbonate enclosure simplify installation. Note that it is not compatible with the PoE++ requirements of the newer U7 and E7 access points.

A: It has a total PoE budget of 120W, with a maximum of 32W per port on its eight PoE/PoE+ 2.5 GbE ports.

Q: Is it compatible with UniFi U7 and E7 access points?
A: No. It is not compatible with the PoE++ requirements of the newer U7 and E7 access points. Ubiquiti recommends its Enterprise Campus switches for those models.
