Description

The HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen12 internal cable kit for 16SFF, 2P/4P configurations connects a 16-drive small form factor layout (drive boxes 3 + 4) to OCP-form-factor OROC tri-mode storage controllers installed in both rear OCP slots, OCP A and OCP B. It is designed for the ProLiant Compute DL580 Gen12 with Intel Xeon 6 processors and requires two HPE MR416i-o or MR216i-o controllers.

The kit is configured automatically based on the drive cage and riser selections, so it enables 16 SFF drives to be driven from two OCP-slot OROC controllers without sourcing individual cable runs. It is intended for 2P/4P builds that use the OCP slots for storage control rather than a PCIe-slot controller.
