Description

This internal Tri-Mode cable kit is designed for the HPE ProLiant Compute DL580 Gen12 (2P/4P) and connects a 32SFF x1 drive configuration (drive boxes 1, 3, 4 and 6) to two MR416i-p / MR216i-p storage controllers installed in PCIe slots 7 and 8. It supports PCIe Tri-Mode connectivity for SAS, SATA and NVMe drives.

The kit is specific to the 32SFF x1 layout in the DL580 Gen12 and is configured based on the drive cage and riser selection in the server. If the optional Universal Media Bay is fitted, Box 1 must remain unused.
