This 4EDSFF direct attach cable is an internal server cable kit for the HPE ProLiant Compute DL380a Gen12 4U GPU server. It connects the 4EDSFF (E3.S) drive cage in NVIDIA GPU configurations, and it is required whenever a 4EDSFF cage is selected.

The cable also enables the optional PCIe 5.0 x16 Slot 1 (captive riser) on the DL380a Gen12. Slot 1 is only available when this cable is attached, and its enablement cannot be used with SFF NVMe drives. It is designed specifically for the DL380a Gen12 platform.
