Description

The HPE P74708-B21 is an 8NVMe rear direct attach cable kit for the HPE ProLiant Compute DL380a Gen12 server. It provides rear direct-attach NVMe connectivity for eight NVMe drives, giving the storage backplane a fast, low-latency path to the system.

This kit is required when 2 x 4SFF drive cages are installed in the DL380a Gen12, and it is also an option alongside 2 x 4EDSFF cage configurations. Selecting this kit limits the server to 2 rear PCIe slots and 2 OCP slots, and it cannot be combined with the HPE DL380a Gen12 PCIe Rear FIO Cable Kit or the HPE DL380a G12 4EDSFF Direct Cable for NVD.
