The ProLiant DL560 Gen11 NS204i-u front enablement kit lets you install an HPE NS204i-u hot-plug boot optimised storage device at the front of a DL560 Gen11 server. It suits deployments that want a dedicated, redundant operating system boot solution without giving up a standard drive bay or a PCIe slot.

The NS204i-u is a dedicated hardware RAID 1 boot device that automatically creates a mirrored volume across its two M.2 NVMe SSDs. Keeping the OS on a separate boot device leaves every front drive bay free for data storage. Please note this kit does not include the NS204i-u boot device, which is ordered separately.
