Description

The FortiGate 7030E is a 6U, 3-slot rackmount firewall chassis from the FortiGate 7000E series, built for high-performance, high-throughput security deployments. This SKU is the chassis only, supplied with 1x System Management Module (SMM), 3x hot-swappable fan trays and 3x hot-swappable AC power supplies for 2+1 redundancy. The FIM interface and FPM processing modules are not included and are ordered separately.

The chassis provides an 80 Gbps fabric backplane and a 1 Gbps base backplane. A single SMM delivers management Ethernet and two switchable console ports for the modules installed in the chassis slots. A fourth PSU slot allows expansion to 2+2 power redundancy, and a DC power option is available for -48 V DC environments. When populated with the standard configuration of 1x FIM and 2x FPM modules, the platform delivers up to 155 Gbps of firewall throughput.

Fortinet provides robust warranty coverage for its hardware and software products, with durations and terms based on product category:
• Hardware Warranty: All Fortinet hardware products come with a 1-year (365 days) limited warranty from the Warranty Start Date, covering material defects in workmanship when compared to the published Functional Specifications.
• Software Warranty: Fortinet software is warranted for 90 days from the Warranty Start Date. An exception is FortiToken, which carries a 1-year warranty.
• Limited Lifetime Warranty Products:
Some products are covered by extended terms:
o FortiAP and FortiSwitch (excluding FortiSwitch-5000 series) include a limited lifetime warranty valid for 5 years beyond the product’s announced end-of-life date.
o FortiSwitch-5000 series is covered under the standard 1-year hardware warranty.
