Description

The FortiExtender WAN 50G AM is an indoor desktop or wall-mount 5G/LTE wireless WAN gateway built to add high-speed cellular connectivity to a FortiGate. This AM model is designed for North America carriers and uses the internal 5G Sub-6 HMT89-LD modem, delivering up to 7 Gbps downlink and 2.5 Gbps uplink in 5G SA mode, with dual Nano-SIM and eSIM support for carrier failover.

Eight internal 5G/LTE antennas and an internal GNSS antenna keep deployment discreet, while two 5GE/2.5GE/1GE LAN/WAN ports, a console port and a USB 3.0 port cover wired connectivity and out-of-band management. It can be powered by 802.3at PoE or the included DC adapter, and once connected it appears as a standard network interface in FortiOS for single-pane-of-glass management through FortiGate and FortiManager.

• Hardware Warranty: All Fortinet hardware products come with a 1-year (365 days) limited warranty from the Warranty Start Date, covering material defects in workmanship when compared to the published Functional Specifications.
• Software Warranty: Fortinet software is warranted for 90 days from the Warranty Start Date. An exception is FortiToken, which carries a 1-year warranty.
• Limited Lifetime Warranty Products:
Some products are covered by extended terms:
o FortiAP and FortiSwitch (excluding FortiSwitch-5000 series) include a limited lifetime warranty valid for 5 years beyond the product’s announced end-of-life date.
o FortiSwitch-5000 series is covered under the standard 1-year hardware warranty.
