Description

The ATEN PE8324G2 is an intelligent 0U rack PDU delivering outlet-level metering and switching across 24 AC outlets, purpose-built for data centre power optimisation. Accepting an IEC 60309 32A input at 100–240 VAC, it provides real-time current, voltage, power, and energy monitoring at PDU, bank, and individual outlet level — giving IT and facilities teams granular visibility and remote control over every connected device via TCP/IP. Proactive Overload Protection (POP) automatically sheds load before breakers trip, while configurable power-on sequencing and scheduling reduce inrush and enable automated energy management.

As part of ATEN's NRGence green energy ecosystem, the PE8324G2 integrates with NRGence eco DC DCIM and CC2000 for enterprise-wide power analysis, department-level reporting, and multi-site management. Security is enterprise-grade with SNMP V1/V2/V3, RADIUS, 128-bit SSL, and IP/MAC filtering. Up to 4 environmental sensor ports enable temperature and humidity monitoring directly from the PDU. Features

- Outlet-level remote power control — On/Off and Power Cycle for individual outlets and outlet groups
- Real-time metering of current, voltage, power, power dissipation, temperature, and humidity at PDU, bank, and outlet level with configurable threshold alerts
- Proactive Overload Protection (POP) — automatically sheds the last overload-causing outlet with user-defined shutdown priority
- Power-On sequencing — configure power-on order and delay per outlet to manage inrush current
- Outlet and outlet-group scheduling — daily, weekly, or custom on/off schedules for automated energy management
- Multiple power control methods: Wake on LAN, System After AC Back, Kill the Power
- 4 external environmental sensor ports for temperature/humidity monitoring plus door sensor support
- Enterprise security: SNMP V1/V2/V3, RADIUS, 128-bit SSL, IP/MAC filtering, three-level account/password management
- Compatible with NRGence eco DC DCIM Web GUI and CC2000 for enterprise-wide power analysis and reporting
- Browser-based management UI (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari) with network firmware upgrade support
- Comprehensive power analysis reports separable by department and location

FAQs

Q: What is the input power connection on the PE8324G2?
A: The PE8324G2 uses an IEC 60309 32A inlet, supporting 100–240 VAC at 50–60 Hz with a maximum input current of 30A and up to 7,360 VA input power capacity.

Q: Can I control and monitor each outlet individually?
A: Yes. The PE8324G2 supports outlet-level remote switching (On/Off and Power Cycle) and real-time metering — including current, voltage, power, and energy consumption — for each of the 24 outlets individually, as well as at bank and PDU level.

Q: What is Proactive Overload Protection (POP) and how does it work?
A: POP automatically powers off the last outlet that caused an overload condition before circuit breakers trip, protecting connected equipment. Administrators can configure a priority order for outlet shutdown, giving critical devices the highest protection.

Q: Does the PE8324G2 support enterprise network management systems?
A: Yes. It supports SNMP V1, V2 and V3, enabling integration with enterprise NMS platforms. It also works with ATEN's NRGence eco DC DCIM Web GUI and CC2000 for centralised energy management, power analysis reporting, and multi-site oversight.

Q: Can I monitor temperature and humidity from this PDU?
A: Yes. The PE8324G2 includes 4 environmental sensor ports that support external temperature and humidity sensors, as well as a door sensor port — delivering environmental monitoring directly through the PDU's management interface.

Q: Can I purchase the ATEN PE8324G2 in Australia through IP Trading?
A: Yes. IP Trading (iptrading.com.au) is a local Australian reseller of ATEN power distribution and data centre infrastructure products. Contact us for pricing, availability, and configuration advice tailored to your deployment.
