Q: Does this transceiver require specific FEC settings or NOS configuration?
A: 100GBASE-SR4 over multi-mode fibre at 100m typically does not require forward error correction (FEC) due to the short reach and high link budget, but your Dell NOS may enable FEC by default. The module will operate with or without FEC as configured by the host. No special EEPROM programming or port configuration is needed beyond standard 100GBASE-SR4 mode selection. DDM parameters are accessible via standard I2C commands without additional software.
