Description

The PA-7500 Series Firewall Data Processing Card (DPC) adds firewall processing power and capacity to a Palo Alto Networks PA-7500 chassis firewall. This model provides 6 data plane CPUs, making it suited to scaling throughput in large enterprise, data centre and service provider deployments.

The DPC installs in the front slots of the PA-7500 14RU chassis and supports breakout mode on its QSFP-DD interfaces, which accept 400Gbps, 100Gbps (QSFP28) or 40Gbps (QSFP+) optics. As a modular, hot-swappable card, it lets operators expand an existing PA-7500 deployment without replacing the chassis.

Features

- Adds firewall processing capacity to the PA-7500 chassis
- Hot-swappable modular card within the PA-7500 chassis architecture
- Supports breakout mode on QSFP-DD interfaces
- Multi-speed QSFP-DD ports for 400G, 100G and 40G optics

Updates can be downloaded through the device interface or via the secure support portal, accessible upon account creation and device registration.
