Description

The Moxa V1200-5G is a 5G cellular module kit for the V1200 Series of fanless, railway-grade Arm-based computers. It is built around a Telit FN990A28W sub-6 GHz module supporting both NSA and SA modes, and installs in the M.2 B-key (5G) slot of compatible V1200 computers to add high-speed cellular connectivity to rolling stock and other rugged field deployments.

The kit includes five IPEX MHF4 to QMA coaxial cables (four for cellular data and one for GNSS), a heat sink and two thermal pads, so everything needed for installation is supplied. The module falls back to LTE and UMTS/HSPA bands where 5G coverage is unavailable, and supports GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo positioning with active or passive antennas. Note that 5G and LTE cannot be operated at the same time.

Q: Which Moxa computers is the V1200-5G compatible with?
A: It is designed for the V1200 Series and installs in the M.2 B-key (5G) slot. SIM and antenna details are specified for the V1222-CT-T and V1222-W-CT-T models.

Q: What is included in the kit?
A: The kit contains a Telit FN990A28W 5G module, five IPEX MHF4 to QMA coaxial cables, two thermal pads and one heat sink.
