Description

The Moxa ISD-1230-T is an industrial RS-422/485 data line surge protector that shields serial equipment such as terminals, instrumentation, I/O ports and hubs from transient surges. It delivers IEC 61643-21 C2 20 kV surge protection on 2-wire and 4-wire serial lines, supports baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps, and operates across a wide -40 to 85°C temperature range.

This RS-422/485 model is a plug-and-play, DIN-rail mounted unit in a compact IP30 metal housing with terminal block connections. Its RS-232 counterpart is the ISD-1210-T, so choose the ISD-1230-T when protecting RS-422 or RS-485 links in factory automation, process control and other harsh industrial environments.
