Description

The Juniper SSR1500-E is a 1U Session Smart WAN router for extra-large campus, hub and data centre deployments, supplied as hardware only. It combines 12 x 1GbE/10GbE/25GbE SFP28 ports with 4 x 1GbE RJ45 ports, 512 GB RAM, a 1 TB SSD and redundant (1+1) AC power supplies, with a rackmount kit included. It delivers up to 50 Gbps aggregate unencrypted throughput (IMIX) and runs preloaded Session Smart software.

The SSR1500 is managed through Juniper Mist WAN Assurance in the cloud or Session Smart Conductor on-premises, with simple onboarding via claim code or QR code. Security is built in with zero trust session authentication, adaptive encryption, a stateful firewall, NAT and VPN. The SSR Series software subscription licence and optics are sold separately.

Q: Does the SSR1500-E include a software licence?
A: No. This SKU is hardware only. It ships with Session Smart software preloaded, but the SSR Series software subscription licence is sold separately.

Q: What ports does the SSR1500-E have?
A: It has 12 x 1GbE/10GbE/25GbE SFP28 ports and 4 x 1GbE RJ45 ports, plus 1 x 1GbE RJ45 management port and an RJ45 console port. The onboard ports are not field configurable or replaceable.

Q: Are SFP28 optics included?
A: No. Optics are sold separately, so choose transceivers to suit the speed and reach of each SFP28 port.

Q: How is the SSR1500 managed?
